Academic Programs
KL University offers 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and
Communication Engineering and our courses are designed in
Lecture-Tutorial-Practice-Skill (L-T-P-S) model to provide a
comprehensive theoretical, practical, technical and skill based learning
experience.
Undergraduate Program
We offer 4 different types of B. Tech programs as per the student’s
choice.
B. Tech Regular:
A student would be graduating with B. Tech Decree in Electronics and
Communication Engineering if s/he could earn minimum of
170 + 5 credits, as stipulated in the curriculum of the respective

B. Tech Honors
A student is eligible for B. Tech. Degree with Honors in ECE, subject
to the following criteria.
- a. S/he should have a CGPA of 8.5 or higher at the
end of semester 4.
- b. S/he must earn 20 additional credits through
advanced courses.
B.Tech with Specialization
The program of Electronics and Communication Engineering was commenced in 1983, with an objective to disseminate the knowledge to the student community through rigorous advanced academic curriculum and research oriented with all round development.
From 2002 onwards emphasis on research, technology development and startup hubs are being focused to ensure the quality and durability by offering UG, PG (2003 onwards) and PhD (2009 onwards) in various specialization streams. The present specializations are offered in futuristic technologies such as 5G & 6G, AI, IoT, Robotics, Automation, Electric Vehicles, Nanotechnology and Biomedical Engineering to bridge the technological gap and support regional, national, and global needs along with institutional vision.
Specialization degree requirement for Y18 onwards
Must successfully complete a Flexi core courses with Professional Elective Courses to earn total of 18 credits in single specialization.
Mush have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 by end of the program.
Specialization requirement for Y17
Must successfully earn a minimum of 172 credits, as stipulated in the program structure.
Must successfully complete a minimum of five (5) Professional Elective Courses in single specialization.
Mush have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 by end of the program.

B. Tech with Minor
A student is eligible for B. Tech. Degree with a Minor, subject to the
following conditions
- Successfully acquire 20 additional credits by registering into
courses offered in the category of professional core from another
department.
- S/he should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 at the time of award of degree.
Postgraduate Program
The department of ECE offers two years Master’s degree in the following
