You must appear for any state specific ECET or KLECET to be eligible for admission into second year of UG Engineering programs.

C. PG – Engineering:

1. How do I seek entrance into PG Engineering Programs at K L deemed to be University?
You can appear for the KL-PGECET or Any state specific PGECET or GATE to seek admission into the PG programs offered by KL deemed to be university.

2. I did not appear for KL-PGECET or qualify in any PGECET or GATE examination. How do I seek admission to PG-Engineering programs?

Ph.D. entrance exam cum Interview will be held twice in a year and student can apply throughout the year (usually during June and Dec only exams are conducted. Notification will be issued through Website ). Office of Dean R & D will send the information to all the applicants regarding the test at least one week in advance.

D. MHS (Management, Humanities & Sciences)

1. How do I seek admission into the MHS PG programs at KL deemed to be University?

a. For admission into MBA program: You must appear for the entrance exam KLMAT/MAT/CAT/Any State/National Level specific Management Entrance Tests for all PG programs offered by the KL Business School.

b. For admission into M.Sc. (Finance & Control) program: You must appear for KLPGCET of the specific program offered by the KL Business School.

c. For admission into M.Com. program: You must appear for KLPGCET of the specific program offered by the KL Business School.

d. For admission into M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) programs: You must appear for KLPGCET of the specific program or GATE for all PG programs offered by the KL College of Sciences.

e. For admission into M.A. (English) program: You must appear for KLPGCET of the specific program offered by the KL College of Humanities.

f. For admission into LLM program: You must appear for CLAT-PG or KLPGCET of the specific program offered by the KL College of Law.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

A. UG – Engineering:

1. What are the eligibility criteria for admission into UG-Engineering programs?
You must secure at least 60% marks both in groups and aggregate in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.

2. I have appeared for KLEEE, but not qualified in the entrance. Am I eligible for admission?
Yes. You can get admission based on your Inter CGPA or EAMCET rank or JEE marks also.

3. Do you have Management quota seats in Engineering. If so what is the eligibility. Whom we must contact?

4. Is BPC essential for B.Tech Bio Technology?
No. Even MPC candidates also can apply for Biotechnology.

5. I am a working in private company and a diploma holder? can I do engineering continuing my Job?
No. Not possible. You can take a break and join the program.

6. I have cleared Intermediate in Compartmental. Am I eligible for admission in KLU?
Yes. You are eligible provided you meet the other requirements like minimum CGPA.

7. I have failed in one subject of Intermediate and appeared for instant exam. Results are awaited. Can I apply for Engineering admission in KLU?
You can Apply and take provisional admission Your admission will be confirmed only after submitting pass certificate.

8. Is a BSC(Mathematics) graduate eligible for Lateral entry to Engineering 3rd semester?
Yes Eligible. But you have to do extra courses like Engineering Graphics, C&DS etc..

B. PG – Engineering:

1. I am working in a private company and a graduate in Engineering? Can I do M. Tech part time basis from your university? Is Attendance Mandatory?
Part Time M.Tech. is not offered. However, after completion of first year course work on campus, you can do project at your company with the consent of your guide subject to our regulations. Attendance is Mandatory for all MTech Programs.

C. MHS (Management, Humanities & Sciences

1. Can a student from M.P.C. group seek admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture?
Yes, eligible.

2. Can a student from M.P.C. group seek admission to B.Pharm. (4 years) and Pharm. D. (6 years) program?
Yes, eligible.

1. If a student has done his graduation degree from an open university/ or in distance mode/ or online mode, can he/she enrol for regular LLB program at KLU?
As per the Govt order issued in 2012, degree obtained through ODL of 3-year pattern is eligible.

2. Are those who have done LLM through distance mode from another University, eligible for Ph.D. in Law at KL?
Yes, eligible provided the undergraduate degree is in the regular mode.

3. What is the cut off mark in Intermediate for programs under Humanities (MHS) ?
The eligibility condition is 55% in 10+2 or equivalent. However, cut off varies from one program to another and year to year. Please contact for exact details Ph. No: 9490361111

4. Do we have lateral entry for B. Arch
No , NATA exam is mandatory or JEE Paper 2 should be qualified for admission to B.Arch.

5. Is there lateral entry in B. Pharmacy?
Yes, the students who completed Diploma in pharmacy are eligible for lateral entry admission.

6. Is there lateral entry for BBA/MBA
No, only transfer from other colleges is accepted.

7. Do we have a cut off eligibility for CLAT for Law?
No Cut-Off. All qualifiers of CLAT are eligible. However, to get scholarships higher ranks are considered.
