The University is "student centric". A separate “ Student Welfare” division is instituted to provide immediate solutions for various student problems. This division looks after the student discipline, hostels, transportation, canteen, sports and extra-curricular activities of students, social service wing, NSS, scholarships, cultural activities, hobby clubs, health center, special counseling & career guidance, imparting the life skills to the students etc. inside the campus. This division mainly helps the students in their personality development and acquisition of social skills in tandem with professional expertise.

The campus is a self-sufficient enclave with blacktop & well-lit roads. Its facilities include STD/ISD pay phones, fax, courier service, a bookstore for all kinds of textbooks, stationary, copier facilities, laundry facilities and a digital photo studio. 100% Standby power generators are provided inside the campus and hostels. A cable television facility is also provided in hostels.

Open Air Theatre

The college has an open-air auditorium, with a seating capacity of 4500 for conducting various cultural activities throughout the year.r.

Health Centre

A full-fledged health center with all the facilities is established to cater to the needs of the students, staff & faculty, and to the general public in the adopted villages. It consists of three doctors (Homoeopathy, Ayurvedic & Allopathy). An ambulance is made available round the clock for any emergencies. K L Deemed to be University has an MOU with a multi specialty hospital.

Counselling & Career Guidance

A special Counseling Cell consisting of professional student counselors, psychologists, senior professors counsels/helps students in preparing themselves to cope with studies, perform well in the tests & various competitions. A group of 20 students are allotted to a senior faculty member who counsels them regularly and acts as their mentor.

Social Service Wing

K L Deemed to be University has a social service wing, which channelizes the social service activities of the faculty, staff and students. The university adopted 5 nearby villages and conducts activities like medical camps, literacy camps and educates the villagers towards hygiene and health care on a regular basis.

NSS Wing of Institute

Regularly organizes blood donation camps, blood grouping camps, fund collection and distribution to poor children and old age homes, distribution of old clothes and free medicines to slum dwellers, tree plantations, AIDS awareness program, teaching basic computer skills to a target group of 500 people in villages.

Hobby Clubs

Wholly and solely managed by the students, the clubs have in the past contributed much to the cultural life of the campus and to the cultural evolution of the students, A number of student bodies and clubs operate in the campus like music society, dance club, drama society, literary and debating club, English press club, drawing club, painting club, mime club, computer club etc. Students manage entire activities and budget of the organization for the entire semester in advance. Around 4000 students are the active members of the Hobby Clubs.

Life Skills and Inner Engineering

Along with the regular programs every student admitted into K L University undergoes a one week special life skills /orientation program. Strict regularity, implicit obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness in dress and person is expected of each student.

Technical Festival

SAMYAK, the technical festival and project exhibition is organized in the odd semester (October) every year to elicit innovative ideas and technical skills of the students from in and around Andhra Pradesh.

Cultural Festival

SURABHI, the cultural festival is organized in the even semester (February) every year. It provides a good platform for students to exhibit their talents and creativity.

Safety on Campus

The welfare of staff and students is top priority in K L U campus at all times. Adequate safety measures are followed throughout the campus in the best possible manner with well-trained security guards. Sophisticated fire alarm systems and foam type fire extinguishers are strategically positioned throughout the campus. Training in safety and first aid is conducted periodically for the staff and students.
