Department of Biotechnology invites the applications under the BioCARe Programme for women researchers. The programme is targeted to enhance the participation of women researchers for their Career Development in the area of Biotechnology.

1. The fellowship is open to Indian Women Nationals residing in India who are upto the age of 55 years and   ??unemployed as on the closing date of the application. The fellowship is co-terminus with the duration of ????   the project.

2. The duration of the project will be maximum 3 years

3. The application can be submitted under 

Category-I: Women researchers who have completed Ph.D. in any discipline of Biotechnology/Life ?????Sciences or allied areas/interdisciplinary sciences/MD/MDS/ M.V.Sc. or 

Category-II: Women researchers who have completed M.Tech. in Biotechnology or in allied areas/M.Pharma/equivalent Degree holders. 

Candidates who are registered or enrolled in higher studies/Ph.D and/or receiving any fellowships are not eligible to apply.

4. The research support will be provided only to women researcher (unemployed/not in regular position) for whom this is the first extramural research grant (Women researchers who have received any earlier grant from any Government Funding Agency as Principal Investigator are not eligible).

The fellows will receive a consolidated grant which will include non-recurring and recurring expenses required for conducting the proposed research project along with a fellowship.
