The Department of Biotechnology invites Expression of Interest focusing on ?Cancer associated Cachexia, Pain and Anemia? as a part of Cancer Disease Biology program.

Nearly all cancer patients experience one or more of the following conditions cachexia, pain, or anemia and, as of now, there are no effective treatments for them. The onset of these conditions is itself a negative prognostic indicator and significantly impacts quality of life. One of the key challenges is the absence of standardized definitions and   assessment tools for these complex issues, which makes it difficult to compare findings across different studies.

Against this backdrop, the Department of Biotechnology invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from researchers who are interested in developing novel ideas, approaches aimed at addressing these challenges. The goal is to accelerate the translation of these innovations into actionable therapies that not only improve clinical outcomes but also enhance the overall societal impact for cancer patients. This initiative seeks to drive meaningful progress in the care of those affected by cancer, ultimately improving their therapeutic journey
