We are proud to announce that Dr. Santosh Kumar (Professor and Advisor - R&D), in collaboration with researchers from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China, has published a significant research article in the IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology, one of the top international journals in the field of photonics. The paper, titled ?Phase-Sensitive OTDR Monitoring for Fault Detection in High-Density Multi-Branch Passive Optical Networks?, presents a novel monitoring scheme for enhancing the reliability and scalability of passive optical networks (PONs). By leveraging phase-sensitive optical time-domain reflectometry (?-OTDR), the work introduces a unique identification frequency-based approach for accurate fault detection across multiple network branches. This international collaboration provides valuable insights for the advancement of next-generation optical networks and strengthens the global impact of our University in cutting-edge photonics research.
