The Research Findings at K L Deemed to be University achieved Global recognition

EM-Com 2009, the 4th International Conference on Embedded and Multimedia Computing which is co-sponsored by IEEE was held in Haevichi hotel, Jeju, South Korea on December 10 - 12, 2009. EM-Com 2009 was the most comprehensive International conference focused on the various aspects of advances in Embedded and Multimedia Computing. The EM-Com 2009 was the event conducted in pursuance to conducting of a series of highly successful International Symposium on Ubiquitous Multimedia Computing (UMC-08, Australia, Oct. 2008) and International Workshop on Embedded Software Optimization (ESO-08, China, Dec. 2008), previously held as UMS-08 (Korea, April, 2008), UMS-07(Singapore, Jan. 2007), ESO-07(Taiwan, Dec. 2007), ESO-06(Korea, Aug. 2006).
Many authors, scholars and delegates from all over the world viz. Japan, China, USA, India, Taiwan etc. attended the conference.
Dr. J.K.R.Sastry and Prof. V. Chandra Prakash, professors of Department of Information Technology, K L Deemed to be University attended the EM-com 20009 conference and presented two research papers viz.
- "A Formal Framework for Modeling External Behavior of an Embedded System" with paper Id. UMCC201
- "A Formal Framework for Verification and Validation of External Behavioral Models of Embedded Systems through Use Case Models" with paper Id. UMCC203.
Both papers were published in IEEE explorer Digital Library and also were selected for publication in International journal on Sensors and actuators. The second paper received "Best paper award".
Dr. J.K.R.Sastry, Dean (R&D), K L Deemed to be University chaired two sessions in that conference viz. 1) Embedded Computing and Its Applications 2) Multimedia Computing. The conference organizers requested Dr. J.K.R.Sastry to chair the entire conference and he acted as the chair of the entire conference accordingly.
