Rolls Royce Delegate visit to K L Deemed to be University
Dr Ashok Koushal, Rolls Royce, Montreal, Canada has visited K L Deemed to be University during 28-30th December 2011. During his visit in depth discussions were taken place to promote Joint Research and testing works for their on going Design modifications in the areas like "Civil Aircraft Rotors, Gas Turbine Technology, Drive Train Functioning and Signalling Systems
In this regard, it is mutually agreed & Expressed their interest to collaborate with Rollys Royce. Dr.Ashok Kaushal, R&D Rolls Royce and Sri K Satyanarayana, Chancellor, K L Deemed to be University, Dr.J.S.Rao, Protem Chancellor, K L Deemed to be University. Dr G L Datta- Vice Chancellor, Dr N Rangaih- Registrar, Dr K V Ramana- Dean R&D, Dr K Ramakrishana - Dean Academics, Dr Y V Hanumantha Rao- Head Mechanical Engg. Dr A Srinath- Coordinator, Center for Aerospace and Energy and other research group Heads have involved in discussions. All the members have actively shared their areas of expertise over Drive Train, use of expert Software like Hyper works, Fluent and ANSYS. It is concluded that CASE will undertake this research in a span of 3 years and also develop Embedded Systems based online Condition Monitoring of the Rotors of Aircrafts.
Dr Koushal has addressed 3rd & 4th year Mechanical Engineering students at the extension lecture on "Dynamic Analysis of Variable Speed Industrial Gas Turbine Engine & Drive Train Analysis and Testing" organized in Peacock Hall on 30th Dec 2011.
