KAVISEKHARA''13
Abhinaya club, KLSO has organized the event named KAVISEKHARA`12, an
intra college spot acting competition, on the eve of the 150th
birthday of Sri GUAJADA VENKATA APPARAO PANTHULU(1862-1915) on 21st
September.
Moto of the event:
To create awareness among the students about Sri Gurajada Venkata
Apparao garu who was a great writer, social reformer, philosopher and to
encourage the students in improving their acting skills.
The event went like as follows:
By 2:30pm in Sunflower hall the event had been started. 30 students
from different departments were participated actively. For this event our
honourable chancellor Sri G.L.Datta, Student affairs Dean Dr.K.R.K.Prasad and
Dr.K.Manikyeswara rao,co-ordinator,WWC had given their valuable presence as
chief guests. Mr.G.R.K.Prasad, Asst.Proof,ECEdept was the judge. The event was
organized under the guidance of Mr.V.G.Krishna Murthy, dramatics trainer. As the
beginning our respected dignitaries garlanded the portrait of Gurajada and spoke
about his greatness and service towards telugu literature.
After that each participant was supposed to take a slip in which a
situation had been written and should act according to it.
Acting skills, expressions etc., were taken into consideration and the winners
were announced at the end.
Winners:
1st prize: V. Sri Vathsa, CSE II/IV
2nd prize: B.Rahul, CSE II/IV
3rd prize: M.Gayatri, ECE II/IV
Abhinaya club co-ordinator G.Sri Teja, Organisers M.V.Sri Seshu,
P.V.Naveen sai and others took their active roles in Kavisekhara`12.
The event was concluded by the vote of thanks by 5:00pm.
