International Women''s Day Celebrations.
International Women's Day Celebrations were conducted by K L Deemed to be University Women's Forum on 9th March 2013 from 1.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Following is the program schedule.
- Spot Events : From 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm in C1,C2,C3,C4 and C5
- Formal function : From 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm in Sir C.V.Raman Seminar Hall
- Cultural Program : From 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm
The function is attended by the female faculty, staff and students of the K L Deemed to be University along with the following dignitaries.

Special Invitees for the celebrations:
Nearly 30 young orphan girls with an age group of 5 to 12 years residing in a children home run by LYNY foundation, Prakash Nagar, Vijayawada have been specially invited to take part in these celebrations along with their caretakers. Transport facility was provided for these daughters of India .Children have given two outstanding dance performances which received a standing ovation from the audience. Gifts and chocolates were distributed among the children.
Concern of the KL Students towards Social Service:
"HELPING HANDS" of K L Deemed to be University students once again showed their solidarity and commitment by raising a fund of Rs. 15,000 for the specially invited young girls and our students will be supplying the required study materials and dress materials for these girls on the occasion of International Women's Day Celebrations.
The Women's Day Celebrations formal function was a grand success with thought provoking, inspiring and motivating messages from the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Principal of KL College of Eng. and the Chief Guest of function. The messages have boosted up the morale of the young girls and the female employees of the University. Mrs.Sreedevi gave the welcome note for the function. Mrs.Lalitha gave the report on the activities of Women's Forum and Mrs.Hemamalini proposed vote of thanks.
Mrs. Anitha, faculty representative from CSE Department organized the cultural show.Cultural Program was full of mesmerizing performances from the girl students. Colorful "Ramp walk" received full applause from the audience.
Mrs. G Jamunarani (Dept. of Mechanical) & Mrs. K Prasanthi (Dept. Of Civil) are the faculty coordinators and conducted the spot events with the help of the student coordinators.
