KL women's forum conducted a talk on My faith is in younger generation in association with Swami Vivekananda 150 Jayanthi Utsav Committee on the eve of Sister Nivedhitha Jayanthi.

The program started with a prayer song followed by Jyothi Prajwalana and a floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda and Sister Niveditha photographs.

Mrs.S.V.N.L Lalitha, convener of K.L.U women's forum presented the welcome note. She briefed about the women's forum role in improving the confidence levels of girls in the campus to face the future challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.L.S.S.Reddy reiterated the inherent talents of younger generation and quoted examples from Swami Vivekananda life. He inspired and motivated the girls to cultivate the good qualities to excel in their career and personal life.

Mr. NarlaVinay Kumar, State Secretary congratulated the KL women's forum for taking the initiative of conducting such useful programmes for the benefit of girl students who can build the future India.

Resource person Ms.Sujatha Nayak's speech was well received by the students. She emphasized on the need for change in the mind set of girls and a women across the world. She has narrated, the difficulties encountered by Sister Niveditha when she tried to serve the needy people during her time.

She has given a clear picture of how Sister Niveditha over came all the hurdles and sacrificed her life for the upliftment of women in those days. She advised the girls to become self sustained and courageous to help the deprived people around us.

There was an interactive session at the end of the talk by Ms.Sujatha Nayak, where the students participated very actively sharing their views and clearing their doubts.

The session ended with an vote of thanks by Mrs.K.Sarada, faculty representative of KL women's forum from EEE department. Lady Faculty representatives of all departments and girls students from all branches of engineering and management attended the program and appreciated the program which was a grand success. Students expressed their interest and willingness to help the needy women in their surroundings.
