KL College of Engineering (KL-CE) has done it again this year !!
The premier engineering college, K L Deemed to be University's flagship institute, is ranked #1 among private engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana (TS) states by Times Engineering Institute Ranking Survey 2016.
Last year too, KL-CE was ranked No.1 private engineering college in both AP and TS by the Times of India's ranking survey. Check
Times Engineering Institute Ranking Survey is an annual, country wide research initiative of India's popular English newspaper the Times of India.
In South India
KL-CE is ranked #12 ahead of over 50 leading public
sector engineering colleges administered by the five state governments in the
southern India - AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
OU College of Engineering (Hyderabad), JNTU-Kakinada College of Engineering, Andhra University College of Engineering (Visakhapatnam), and SV University College of Engineering (Tirupati) are all ranked behind KL-CE.
All India level
Among India's public and private sector engineering colleges, KL-CE is
ranked #31.

Research Consultants to conduct its engineering college survey
2016 to determine and rank the top engineering colleges in India. i3 Research
Consultants is a New Delhi based boutique market research and consultancy firm.
The 2016 survey is the third edition of the Times Engineering Survey, and it is a third time the Times of India has tied up with i3 Research Consultants for this annual exercise.
Research Methodology
The objective of this research was to identify and rank top engineering
institutes in the public and private sectors in India. The study has three major
modules - Desk Research, Factual Survey, and Perceptual Rating Survey.
- Desk Research
Module 1 was a secondary research module that involved generating a comprehensive list of engineering colleges with the help of the Internet, magazines, and other publications. - Factual Data Collection
Module 2 entailed sending more than 800 engineering colleges a factual data questionnaire and rigorously following up through a variety of modes - telephone, email, and face-to-face. - Perceptual Rating Survey
In this module, a structured questionnaire was administered to select respondents, where they were asked to rate up to 20 colleges.
