K L Deemed to be University (KL), officially the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, is a deemed university located in the Vaddeswaram Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, offering academic programs at UG, PG, Doctoral, Post-Doctoral industry focused courses. K L Deemed to be University will soon be commencing its operations in Hyderabad. The University is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, and is certified by ISO 9001 - 2000. It has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an A grade.
Addressing the media, Mr.Havish Lakshman Koneru, Vice-President, formally announced the commencement of K L Deemed to be University at Hyderabad. He said that the university is accepting admissions from June 2017 in a temporary campus at APPA Junction, Hyderabad. An integrated 90-acre campus is being constructed at Bachupally and will be ready for the next academic year. An estimated investment for building the Hyderabad campus is pegged at Rs 1,500 crore. The world-class campus will have over 60 specialisation courses in Engineering, Medical, Management and Law education.
The vision of K L Deemed to be University is to offer students a globally relevant learning experience, by providing high-quality, affordable and accessible education. The mission is to impart quality higher education and to undertake research and extension with emphasis on application and innovation that cater to the emerging societal needs through all-round development of students of all sections enabling them to be globally competitive and socially responsible citizens with intrinsic values.
Havish said that they are entering Hyderabad market to provide quality and industry-focussed education. Students will be provided knowledge-based education which help them to be industry-ready when they step out of the university. K L Deemed to be University offers several flexibility for students at both Undergraduate and Post-Graduate level.
The KL Engineering college at Vijayawada is the second largest private engineering college in India which offers eight engineering programmes and they are the first education society to approach the government authorities seeking to set up an institute for engineering education way back in 1990s.
