Basic Treatment Can Save Lives in Critical Situations.
K L Deemed to be University's NSS volunteers have been actively spreading awareness on the importance of basic emergency treatments to ZP High School Students at Pedapalem Village, Duggiral Mandal, Guntur District on 18-10-2024. Dr. R. Supriya, Professor and NSS Officer at the K L Deemed to be University College of Pharmacy, stressed the significance of knowing fundamental life-saving techniques such as CPR, especially in emergencies like heart attacks, which have become increasingly common even among younger individuals. She explained that immediate response during the ?golden hour? can be crucial in situations like road accidents, snake bites, burns, pesticide poisoning, and loss of consciousness. Dr. G. Chakraborty, Principal of the Pharmacy College, further elaborated on these essential first-aid measures. The awareness campaign saw enthusiastic participation from volunteers and was coordinated by Mr.P.Suresh. University Vice Chancellor Dr. G. Pardhasaradhi Varma, Pro Vice Chancellors Dr. AVS.Prasad, Dr. N.Venkatram, Dr. K.Rajasekhara Rao, Deans Dr. KRS.Prasad, Dr. Habibullah Khan, and NSS Program Coordinator Dr. P.Srikanth Reddy congratulated the team or their efforts in promoting life-saving knowledge among students.
