National Advanced Cancer Diagnosis Conference inaugurated at KLEF

Mangalagiri AIIMS neurosurgeon Dr. Rekhapalli Rajasekhar said that the technology to detect cancer in its early stages will soon be available in India. On 27 August 2024 Tuesday, he was the chief guest at a national level conference titled "Trends in Epigenetics in Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy" held at the local KL Deemed University and explained about cancer diagnosis and therapy. Varsity Pro-Chancellor Dr. KS. Jagannath Rao, Registrar Dr. K. Subbar Rao and Conference Convener Dr. M. Janakiramaiah lit the torch and started the conference.

Later, Dr. Rekhapalli Rajasekhar said that scientists are conducting research all over the country to eradicate the cancer epidemic. He revealed that scientists in India will launch a new technology with indigenous knowledge to detect cancer cells in the blood early and save the lives of cancer patients, especially by connecting artificial intelligence with biotechnology. Pro Chancellor Dr. KS Jagannath Rao said that scientists, industrialists and students have been brought together on one platform through this program. He said that in this way good results can be obtained in the ongoing research on cancer.

According to the 2023 ICMAR report, the cancer growth rate will increase significantly in the coming period. The convener of the conference, Dr. M. Janakiramaiah said that this national conference is being organized with the cooperation of ANRF, a central research institute, and the Serbian government, with the aim of eradicating cancer. He said that the conference will help the students to understand how to use modern technology in cancer research and how it can be used to conduct research on a wide scale. IIT Madras Professor Dr. Rayala Suresh Kumar explained about cancer biomarkers.
