Indian council of Medical Research-Department of health Research (ICMR-DHR) has selected Dr.M. Janaki Ramaiah for top 25 fellowships as Senior International fellows. During his visit Dr M. Janaki Ramaiah professor KLEF has identified many biomarkers for chemo-sensitization of brain cancer stem cells and cancer cells by regulating the key proteins of DNA repair proteins and DNA damage proteins Further his work was highly appreciated by many pioneers like Stanley H. Appel and Prof Muralidhar Hegde, the mentor for his research on Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) at Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI), Texas, USA. The Intension of his visit was to establish a Brain cancer centre at KL deemed University. His work have identified several proteomics based biomarkers for the metabolic changes during chemo-sensitization. Further after returning to INDIA his work was highly appreciated by ICMR-DHR.
