Advances 5G Tech with New DST-Sanctioned Geospatial Positioning Project

KL Deemed-to-be University proudly announces the sanctioning of an advanced research project by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) focused on "Data Fusion and Deep Learning Geospatial Positioning in the 5G Era." The project, led by faculty member Dr. D. Venkata Ratnam, along with co-investigators Dr. G.S.K. Santosh and Dr. D. Bhavana from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, aims to enhance geospatial positioning technologies essential for the development of 5G networks.

This research will leverage cutting-edge data fusion techniques and deep learning algorithms to enhance geospatial accuracy and efficiency. The project represents a substantial breakthrough in geospatial technology and 5G, providing solutions with extensive implications for applications ranging from smart cities to autonomous systems. The university's advanced Atmospheric Science and Space Technology research laboratory, supported by the Department of Telecom, Government of India, along with a dedicated 5G use case laboratory, will play crucial roles in driving this initiative forward.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the University was also recently selected for the prestigious 100 5G Use Case Labs initiative designed for academic institutions across India. By advancing geospatial positioning for 5G, we are setting the stage for significant innovations that will transform everything from smart cities to autonomous systems.

KL Deemed to be University remains committed to encouraging innovation and stays at the forefront of technological education and research, promising to deliver innovative solutions with wide-ranging implications for various advanced applications.
