Blood Donation Plays a Key Role in Saving Lives

Every year, awareness about blood donation is growing among students through blood donation camps and programs, stated Dr. K.R.S. Prasad, Dean and In-Charge of the Student Affairs at K L Deemed University. On Friday, he inaugurated a blood donation camp jointly organized by the American Cancer Care Blood Bank and KL Youth Red Cross in the university's SAC Hall. He emphasized that blood is an essential component of the human body and plays a crucial role in saving lives and improving health.

Around 200 units of blood were collected at the camp, he reported. The blood collected from donors is used to help patients with various diseases, those undergoing treatment after accidents, and those requiring surgery. Individuals can donate blood regularly, provided they monitor their health and follow the guidelines. He encouraged everyone to donate blood at least once a year.
