K L Deemed to be University VZA, Student Team Secured Second Runner up Position with Prize Money of Rs 1 Lakh in Amaravati Drone Hackathon 2024

Students from Garuda Drone Technology Club, K L Deemed to be University's Vijayawada participated in the two-day national-level Amaravati Drone Summit 2024 and secured second runner up position with prize of Rs. 1 lakh. This two-day national summit, organized by the Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation, were scheduled on October 22 and 23, 2024, in which people from industry, researchers, students, and innovators are participated. The winner team submitted idea about the Crack detection by Drone technology and secured position as winner team. The winning team members are G. Mouli Sagar, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, G. Venkat, Ch. Nithin and A. Harshini from the Dept of CSE, K L Deemed to be University participated and got selected for the proposed project idea.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu along with Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu grace the gathering by their presence in inaugural function of the event. Student team with Faculty Mentor Dr Nilu Singh, received prize money from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu.

Participation in this event not only showcased Garuda Drone technology Club's student?s commitment towards Drone technology and innovative ideas but also highlighted K L Deemed to be University's dedication to preparing students for future careers in current Drone technologies. The university's support for drone development was evident, as it encourages students to explore innovative technologies and their applications in real-world scenarios. Students got all support from HoD CSE-H, Prof A. Senthil, Deputy HoD Santhi Sri and faculty mentor Dr Nilu Singh to reach this success.
