K L Deemed to be University VZA Garuda Drone Technology Club Team members Wins Smart India Hackathon 2024
Students from the Garuda Vega team at K L Deemed to be University, Vijayawada, achieved an exceptional milestone by securing the winner's position in the prestigious Smart India Hackathon 2024. The event, held nationally, brought together innovative minds from across the country. The team impressed judges with their project on Logistical Drone Technology for High Altitudes and Long Ranges, addressing a critical problem statement (1774) provided by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
The victorious team comprised:
Vishnu Vardhan Reddy , Gullinkala Mouli Sagar, Vakkapatla Subhashini, Alla Sai Surya, Peddibhotla , Phani Radha, Tallapaneni Harshitha, Thupakula Navya Sri.
This groundbreaking project aims to revolutionize logistics in high-altitude terrains using drones with extended ranges, showcasing a blend of innovation and practicality. The team's efforts were guided and supported by their faculty mentor, Dr Prashant Kumar Shukla, Dr. Nilu Singh, who provided constant encouragement and guidance throughout the competition.
The team also received vital support from their peers, Siddharth and Sumadhur (KL Alumni Y20 Batch), whose contributions played a significant role in the project's success. Their dedication and collaboration exemplify the spirit of teamwork and innovation at K L Deemed to be University.
