A delegation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), USA, visited K L Deemed to be University on February 5, 2025. The visiting team included Dr. Kevin Z. Truman, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, Dr. Mark Daly, Director of International Affairs, and Deepika Phukan, South Asia International Manager.

KL and UMKC share a decade-long academic relationship. During the visit, the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions was extended for another five years, with signed copies exchanged. Discussions focused on strengthening ongoing research collaborations and expediting student exchange initiatives, including the launch of twinning programs with immediate effect.

Dr. Kishore Babu, Dean, Vijay Maruti, Director, and Dr. Gopi Krishna, Deputy Director from KL's International Relations division, participated in the discussions with the UMKC delegation. The visiting professors toured various campus facilities and commended the university for its well-maintained amenities and infrastructure.

The UMKC representatives expressed their satisfaction with the meeting outcomes and emphasized their commitment to fostering deeper academic and research collaborations with KL in the coming years.
