Demonstrating exceptional innovation and technical expertise, final-year students Mr. K. Murali Manoj and Mr. O. Goutham from K L Deemed to be University have made their institution proud by securing First Prize at Hyundai Technovation 2024 - All India Technical Virtual Symposium. Competing against top engineering institutions across the country, the team impressed industry experts with their groundbreaking project, SMART INTERFACE FOR NEXT-GEN MONITORING IN EVs.

The competition featured multiple rigorous evaluation rounds, where teams were assessed based on real-time feasibility, cost-benefit analysis, technical depth, and presentation skills. The selection process included:

Initial Screening Round - Submission of research concepts and abstracts.

Technical Presentation Round - An 8-10-minute detailed project demonstration, followed by a Q&A session with Hyundai's expert panel.

Final Evaluation - Assessment of industry relevance and real-world implementation potential.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Kalyan Dusarlapudi, the students developed an advanced E-Bike Main User Interface Display, incorporating cutting-edge smart features to enhance safety and usability. The project included:

Pothole Detection System - Real-time alerts for road hazards to ensure safer rides.

Single-Hand Assistance SOS Alert - Automatic emergency alerts triggered during unsafe riding conditions.

Stand Alert System - Prevents accidental acceleration when the bike stand is engaged.

Smoke Detection System - Warns users of potential fire hazards, enhancing rider safety.

The students' remarkable achievement was made possible through continuous technical support and guidance from Dr. A. Pandian, HOD of the EEE Department, and Dr. A. Srinath, Dean of Skill Development, who played key roles in steering the team toward industry-oriented, innovative solutions.
