K L Deemed to be University Conducts Public Awareness Program on Safe Digital Transactions.

Vijayawada, India - With the rapid rise of digital transactions, concerns over cyber fraud have also escalated. To address this issue, the Student Affairs Department of K L Deemed to be University, in collaboration with the AI & Data Science NSS Department, conducted a public awareness program on secure digital transactions in Atmakur village, Mangalagiri Mandal, on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. KRS Prasad, Head of the Student Affairs Department, urged the public to use reliable and verified applications for digital payments to ensure secure transactions and protect against fraud.

Dr. B. Tirupathi Reddy, Head of the AI & DS Department, highlighted the importance of safe digital practices, and NSS Program Coordinator Dr. P. Srikanth Reddy provided essential guidelines, advising villagers to:

Use only official banking and UPI apps like BHIM for transactions.
Avoid scanning unknown QR codes that could lead to fraudulent transactions.
Take precautions while using debit and credit cards in commercial establishments.
Report any cyber fraud immediately by calling 1905.

The initiative, led by NSS Program Officer V. Jonithin and Coordinator P. Suresh, successfully educated villagers on the risks associated with digital payments and preventive measures against fraud.

The efforts of the volunteers were commended by University In-charge Vice Chancellor Dr. K. Rajasekhara Rao, Pro Vice Chancellors Dr. AVS Prasad and Dr. N. Venkatram, Dean Dr. Habibullah Khan, and other university officials.
